Fellowship, Faith ….and a heck of a lot of Fun!
Social, community and fund-raising activities at St Hugh’s, Vence
Our most regular social meeting is coffee after the 9h00 Sung Eucharist on Sundays but we also have meals together and during the summer months we have have ‘Pink Club’ on Saturday mornings in the church garden. Launched last summer, running from 11h00 until 12h30, ‘Pink Club’ gives a chance to drop by after running errands in town, an opportunity to catch up with gossip and to share a very civilised carafe of Provence Rosé with fellow parishioners – and still be in good time to head off for a spot of lunch. The Club has really lifted the pastoral caring side of the church and we have shared some very special times with each other. Visitors and those in Vence only for a couple of weeks or so each year are delighted at this chance to integrate and belong. The wine and the ambience each week are heady indeed!
We have also, so far this summer, had a Film screening, a BBQ lunch on the Saturday of ‘Iron Man’ in Nice and Vence and a ‘Bring and Share lunch’ for the Assumption Day weekend.
