Sunday, June 4, Pentecost, Sung Eucharist at 11 a.m. Please stay for coffee and wine after the service.There will be a collection of groceries for the Fourneau Économique in church. For ten months of the year, Fourneau Économique offers a meal on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; 150 meals are served a day. Although open to all, the meals are especially intended for the homeless. Holy Trinity donates food once a month.
Sunday, June 11, Trinity Sunday, Sung Eucharist at 11 a.m.
We will welcome the Edinburgh University Chamber Choir who will sing during the 11am Eucharist. At the appropriate place in the service, they will sing the Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus & Benedictus from William Byrd’s setting of the Mass for 4 Voices, one of the great works of Renaissance English music. They will sing the Agnus Dei from that same service during the distribution of communion. And they will begin the service with Bruckner’s motet, Christus factus est.
Please stay for coffee and wine after the service. There will also be Lunch in the Presbytery Garden, beginning at 12.30. This will be on a ‘bring and share’ basis. Please bring some food to share with others. Don’t forget that we will need to feed the choir!
