The Church Wardens

The main part of the the development programme concluded in 2014 as Fr Peter arived.  This means that St Hugh’s is smartly decorated and well illuminated. The gates were also widened and the frontage is tidy and welcoming. We are grateful to Ray Horsley and Nigel Brotherton, wardens at the time, for their enthusiasm and leadership of the project.

Thanks to a generous bequest and equally generous donations we were later able to undertake the construction of a disabled ramp.  The project included the installation of wider doors from the church to the garden.  This offers vastly improved access but it also enhances the garden side of the church.

At  the time, of these improvements, Andy Crawford and Claire Ery were church wardens.
